Have your say on roads/footpaths

The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) would like your views on the condition of roads and footpaths that you use, to shape the research behind future improvements.

It is a confidential 15 minute survey, developed to better understand user needs. The NZTA wants to hear from as many road and footpath users as possible so that a comprehensive overview can be formed to make better informed decisions to benefit all users.

It is pleasing to note that wheelchair and mobility scooter users are included right through the survey asking their opinions on the state of footpaths. This includes accessibility and safety. I’m sure a lot of readers will agree with my survey statement which encourages authorities to ensure kerb cuts remain safe. I find a lot of the kerb cuts are so steep, in some places, that I’m almost toppling over.

The NZTA states that “delivering transport solutions that meet the needs of our customers means understanding and bringing the customer experience into the way we do business. In other words, we need to see transport from our customer’s point of view. That’s the purpose behind this survey – we want to know what you think. Your responses are confidential and will be collated so that they will not be individually identified.”

So here is your chance of expressing what is worrying you about the state of our footpaths etc
